We served as engineering consultant for this project which was done in cooperation with the State Department of Transportation.  CP&E designed and then coordinated all elements of the construction plans, including two major intersections, highway lighting, storm drainage, and affected water, sewer, electrical, structural, and telephone facilities.  To accommodate increased traffic flows, Kamehameha Highway was widened to four lanes between Waipahu Street and the new community of Waikele.  Approximately 3,600 feet of highway was widened from a 70-foot right-of-way to a 120-foot right-of-way.
